A Farm Update:

We finished the new electric fence to contain the pigs in their pen!   It is fun to watch them run around and root up the ground!  I can't believe they're able to root up the frozen ground, but they manage!

We added on to the chicken run attached to the permanent coop and we added most of the young chicken to the chickens that already lived here.  The young chicken seen here are about 4 months old now!  These are buff orpingtons.

When you order chicks from Murray McMurray they throw in a "wild and exotic" chick for free.  This is mine!  It looks like she's wearing pants :)

Callum heads to the barn to perform his favorite chore...mucking!  He's become the farm manager and is doing a great job!

The chicken tractor in action!

Isn't she pretty :)  She's not ours but she lives on our farm.  We are working on getting a milk cow though!!!

Compost!

Callum working on the last stall the pigs were in before we turned them out.....getting them from here to their pen (20 feet away) was a chore!!
The Mechums river.  View from the barn.

View of the greenhouse and garden from the barn.  I always start itching to get back in the garden around this time of year!  We're making plans!

Lady, left, and Daisy, right, acting like they don't know how to get in the paddock when the gate's closed.
